Brief
I-play, the publishing division of Oberon Media, Inc., is the world's leading multi-platform casual games publisher. With powerful franchises and massive distribution across the three most popular entertainment screens -- online, mobile, and interactive television -- I-play content reaches global consumers, and delivers fun, entertaining, accessible content to casual gamers of all ages.
I-play came to insitebright because they wanted a facebook application for the Fast & Furious Adrenaline mobile game. They wanted engagement through participation and competition implementing high score leaderboards for all the tracks in the game and a world map plotting random players using geo location data.
In game video was also a requirement showing latest videos from players around the world.
Approach
Visual representation of the active users was important along with the quick navigation through the large data sets of scores.
Using Asynchronous javascript insitebright retrieved high scores from the remote server in the background not affecting the users experience or navigation.
