Brief

insitebright were asked to develop a prototype for a new trusted and private way of sharing and distributing media objects around the web. For the brief we were required to develop three functional areas.

Approach

Usability was a key consideration in this project and the ability to share and distribute large objects in an easy way was something which was built into the application and architecture from the start. This strategy means we can evolve the user interface over time and make sure that we can react to constant user feedback on how the application performs and functions.

The sheer volume of objects and data means that handling the scalability of the service was paramount to its success and having a long term strategy on the architecture evolution ensured that it is cost effective and future proof!

Cloud service integrations with Picasa, YouTube and Facebook Connect were integrated to increase the viral nature of the product.
